School's Vision, Values and Aims

White Bridge Primary School provides a safe, inclusive and challenging learning journey in a fun environment where there is pride in achievement, and teamwork that builds respect and trust. Our vision of ’be the best version of you’  is at the core of everything we do. This underpins our teaching and learning and provides an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy and independent individuals.

 

Our hard-working, dedicated and professional staff have a shared vision to ensure the best outcomes for all pupils in both their academic studies and their emotional well-being and mental health. Much work goes into supporting all pupils, irrespective their needs.

Wellbeing :

We aim for:

  • The five ways of wellbeing to be embedded and applied at our school:
  • Connect: Strengthening relationships with others and feeling close to and valued by others
  •  Keep Learning: Be curious and seek out new experiences at school and in life positively stimulates the brain.
  • Be Active: Being physically active improves physical health and can improve mood and wellbeing and decrease stress, depression and anxiety.
  • Give: Carry out acts of kindness, whether small or large, can increase happiness, life satisfaction and general sense of wellbeing.
  • Take Notice: Paying more attention to the present moment, to thoughts and feelings and to the world around, boosts our wellbeing.

 

 

Belonging:

We aim for:

  • every stakeholder to feel welcomed and an integral part of the school community.
  • Everyone to work together to ensure that the children and the staff feel valued and supported.
  • Good relationships to be formed so that children develop into good citizens.
  • Children to achieve their full potential
  • Children to feel happy and safe.
  • Everyone to be listened to in an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect and that their opinion is valued.
  • the promotion of British values in an inclusive community and to take pride in our school.

We aim for:

  • Children to be motivated and independent learners who know how to challenge themselves.
  • Children have an embedded growth mindset and a positive ‘can do’ attitude to learning.
  • Children to gain resilience and believe in what they can achieve.
  • Children are equipped with life skills to contribute to the wider community

  • to develop confident and positive attitudes amongst children and staff that help encourage enjoyment of both school and life.
